The Daily Mail in London reports that she will be paid $130,000 for her appearance that could see her involved in a cat fight over her stick thin figure.

Ugly Betty star Becky Newton, who plays binge-eating receptionist Amanda, hopes her character clashes with Beckham the Mail reported.

She said: "Amanda is going to be like, 'I'm not standing next to Posh because she's too skinny. She's gonna make me look fat.' Amanda's gonna take her down."

Victoria, 33, will appear in a wedding themed episode to be shown later this year - but producers are not revealing if it is the former Spice Girl who walks down the aisle.

Producer Marco Pennette said: "There's a wedding dress involved. There's a wedding involved with her storyline.

Pennette joked that he wanted David Beckham to come along to the filming in September.

He said: "We want her husband on set. It's one of the requirements."

Ugly Betty, which also stars Extras star Ashley Jensen, is one of the most popular shows on US TV.

The comedy centres around characters on a glossy fashion magazine and features a hispanic secretary, Ugly Betty, played by America Ferrera.

Victoria was first suggested for a cameo role after meeting actor Eric Mabius at an awards ceremony in London. He said she would be perfect for a walk on role.

Victoria and her husband have been a huge hit in Los Angeles and celebrated with a star studded party hosted by Tom Cruise and his wife Katie Holmes.

But her reality show "Victoria Beckham: Coming to America" was savaged by the critics.

It was also revealed that a scene involving Victoria being stopped by a LA police officer was a set up with an actor playing the motorcycle cop.
