London, England - Prince Harry led tributes to Lady Diana, on the 10th anniversary of her death, describing her as "the best mother in the world" in a speech at a memorial service in London on Friday.

Prince Harry on Friday led tributes to Lady Diana, on the 10th anniversary of her death, describing her as the best mother in the world in a speech at a memorial service in London.

"She made us and so many other people happy" said Harry of his mother, the Princess of Wales.

Harry, who was 12 when his mother was killed, said her death was "indescribably shocking and sad", and changed his life and that of his brother forever.

He added: "When she was alive we completely took for granted her unrivalled love of life, laughter, fun and folly.

"We both think of her every day. We speak about her and laugh together at all the memories."

Prince William, who was 15 when Diana died, gave a reading from St Paul's letter to the Ephesians which asked for inner strength.

Exactly a decade to the day since Diana, Princess of Wales, was killed in a car crash in Paris, sons William and Harry remembed her at a special ceremony in the Guards' Chapel in London.

Harry delivered an address which he had written himself. "She was our guardian, friend and protector," he said of her. He asked for her to be remembered as "fun-loving, generous, down to earth and entirely genuine." Prince William, 25, also gave a reading at the service he organized with his brother. He read from St Paul's letter to the Ephesians.
