"Voice of the Times" in smear campaign against Sarah Palin

VECO oil corporation lapdog, "Voice of the Times" editor Paul Jenkins, is attacking Sarah Palin with his third column critical of the Republican gubernatorial candidate.

Jenkins has attacked Palin with allegations she ran her 2002 lieutenant governor campaign out of her mayor's office using city staff and resources.

Here's the heavy dirt he came up with:
An assistant once helped with travel arrangements for a campaign trip to Ketchikan. Palin's staff once printed some thank you notes for campaign contributions and there was a meeting with a political advertiser at City Hall.

Palin says she also responded to a couple of campaign e-mails from her city e-mail address.

Oh my lord, how could she be so horrible?
We need to get a rope and hang her in front of the VECO building!

Give me a break! That's it? That's all he's got after all this time?

Jenkins' bought and paid for beloved candidate, ethically corrupt Governor Frank Murkowski, has a mile long list of far worst offenses. There was no mention of that in his rip job of Palin.

Sarah Palin, in a written statement to AlaskaReport, says "Since it appears I am the leading candidate for the Republican nomination, I fully expected them to run a negative campaign. For VECO and the Voice of the Times, it is motivated by my fight for Alaska's interests FIRST on the gasline. Not foreign companies. Not foreign countries. It begs the question, what are they trying to protect? Alaskans are truly sick and tired of this negative campaigning and is part of the reason I ran for office."

Well put. Respond by taking the high road.

The farther Murkowski spokesman Jenkins goes with these attacks, the more Alaskans realize Murkowski's alliance with oil companies is far more than just huge campaign donations, fishing trips with oil lobbyists, and secret backroom deals on a failed "contract" to intentionally screw every Alaskan for years to come.

It looks like someone is scared their boy is going to be humiliated August 22nd.
