Ahmadinejad suggests Israel move to AlaskaOctober 5, 2007Tehran, Iran - Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad suggested in a speech at Tehran University Friday that Israel should move to Alaska and he also defended his questioning of the realities of the Holocaust.
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad marked al-Quds Day by declaring that Israel is committing "genocide" against the Palestinians and arguing that the continued existence of the Jewish state is an "insult to human dignity." "The creation, continued existence and unlimited (Western) support for this regime is an insult to human dignity," Ahmadinejad said, according to the Associated Press. "The occupation of Palestine is not limited to one land. The Zionist issue is now a global issue." From Bloomberg News: Ahmadinejad repeated a suggestion that Israeli Jews be resettled in Europe or "big lands such as Canada and Alaska," and called for a vote in Israel and the occupied territories on the future status of the region, the state-run Islamic Republic News Agency said.
