Charles Barkley arrested for drunk driving in Arizona

Former basketball star Charles Barkey was arrested early Wednesday morning in Gilbert, Arizona for drunk driving after running a stop sign.

Barkley was given a blood test, cited for suspicion of DUI and released by police.

Police in Gilbert said more information would be available later today.

Charles Barkey announced in August that he planned to run for Alabama state governor.

The 45-year-old Barkley a blood test at the scene by a mobile DUI task force. He was released later and took a taxi home, according to TMZ.com.
