U.S. District Court Judge John Sedwick and Kohring's lawyers questioned 57 potential jury members and expect to seat a jury around noon on Tuesday.

Kohring is accused of accepting cash bribes from representatives of an Alaska oil-field-services company formerly called VECO.

VECO officals have admitted bribing multiple Alaska legislators including former state speaker Ben Stevens, son of Senator Ted Stevens, also under criminal investigation.
