Jury selection begins for KohringOctober 23, 2007Anchorage, Alaska - Jury selection began Monday in the corruption trial of "Corrupt Bastard Club" member Vic Kohring.
Pictured: Kohring attorney John Henry Browne U.S. District Court Judge John Sedwick and Kohring's lawyers questioned 57 potential jury members and expect to seat a jury around noon on Tuesday. Kohring is accused of accepting cash bribes from representatives of an Alaska oil-field-services company formerly called VECO. VECO officals have admitted bribing multiple Alaska legislators including former state speaker Ben Stevens, son of Senator Ted Stevens, also under criminal investigation.
