Los Angeles - Southern California football player Mario Danelo was drunk when he fell off a cliff to his death, the coroner's office has ruled.

Southern California football player Mario Danelo was drunk when he fell off a cliff to his death, the coroner's office has ruled.

The coroner though was unable to say why he fell, but a toxicological report found that he had 0.23 blood-alcohol level, nearly three times the legal limit in California.

Danelo was found January 6th more than 100 feet down a rocky cliff in San Pedro, California.

The 21-year-old player missed only two field goals in his two-year career at USC, going 26-for-28.
