Los Angeles, California - The caretaker for "Pulp Fiction" actor Ving Rhames was fatally mauled by four dogs at his Brentwood home Friday.

KABC-TV is reporting that the man had bites all over his body.

Animal control officers took four dogs into custody, including four mastiffs believed to be responsible for the attacks.

Ving Rhames, is out of the country filming a movie.

The man was not immediately identified, but Los Angeles Police Sgt. Lee Sands said he was in his early 40s and had worked for Rhames for two years.

Police said they believed that the dogs belonged to the actor.

Ving Rhames Bio

Rhames first appeared on Broadway in the play The Winter Boys in 1984. Ving continued his rise to fame through his work in soap operas. He found work as a supporting actor, and came to the attention of the general public in Pulp Fiction (1994) as Marsellus Wallace.

Not long after, Rhames was cast with Tom Cruise as the ace computer hacker Luther Stickell in Brian de Palma's Mission: Impossible (1996).
