Justin Timberlake hired for The Love Guru

Los Angeles - Superstar singer/boy-bander Justin Timberlake has been cast to star in Mike Myers' new movie, The Love Guru.

Justin Timberlake and Mike Myers both voiced characters in the third Shrek film.

Myers plays a man who was raised by gurus and goes on to issue marriage guidance.

Timberlake, who is currently on tour with his Future Sex/Love Show, recently appeared in the film Alpha Dog.

Jessica Alba, best known for appearing in Fantastic Four, will also star in the movie, along with Romany Malco who was in ice skating comedy Blades of Glory.

Verne Troyer, who starred as Mini Me in Myers' Austin Powers series, has also secured a part in the film.

Filming starts next month in Toronto, Canada, with Marco Schnabel directing.

Timberlake, who rose to fame with boy band N'Sync, has sold more than 13 million copies of his first two solo albums.

Earlier this month he received seven nominations at the MTV Video Music Awards, including male artist of the year.
