Survey Shows Croft, Sullivan Lead Mayor's Race

The Croft for Mayor Campaign today released results from a recent Lake Research Partners poll. The survey shows Eric Croft in a very strong position in the race for Anchorage Mayor.

Croft is nearly tied with Dan Sullivan for first place, with Croft supported by 18% of voters and Sullivan with 21%. Twenty-eight percent of voters are undecided. Croft also has the highest favorability of any candidate running for Mayor. Ninety-two percent of voters know who Croft is, and voters rated him favorably almost 3 to 1.

"This shows our goals of keeping Anchorage's economy strong, creating jobs and improving education resonates with voters," said Croft. "It's going to be a close race, but we[re confident we can win."

Lake Research Partners is a highly respected firm that has worked with Mark Begich and Tony Knowles in previous elections. Five hundred likely Anchorage voters were surveyed. The margin of error for the poll is +/-4.4%. A summary by Lake Research Partners is attached to this release.
