Ethan's Support Among Alaskans Trumps Young, Parnell Combined

Alaskans Backing Berkowitz -- Don and Sean Relying on Outside Dollars

The numbers are in, and Congressional candidate Ethan Berkowitz is thrilled. Second Quarter fundraising results show Alaskans contributed more to Berkowitz than all three Republican candidates combined. Disclosed totals filed yesterday with the Federal Election Commission show Alaskans supported Ethan to the tune of nearly $115,000 dollars during the quarter. On the other hand, Sean Parnell raised roughly half that amount from Alaskan donors ($67,704), with Don Young ($18,350) and Gabrielle LeDoux ($25,900) rounding out the GOP take.

"This shows that Alaskans are ready for change," said Berkowitz. "It's an incredible honor to have the support of so many Alaskans from across the state."

Here are some of the other numbers from the latest FEC reports:

·Ethan's contributions from the 2nd Quarter total $227,339 (itemized and non-itemized). 84% of his support came from fellow Alaskans.

·Candidate Sean Parnell took in at least $121,000 dollars from donors outside of Alaska, making up 64% of his disclosed contributions.

·Parnell also relied heavily on outside contributions from the 'Club for Growth'. Forty-two percent ($111,401) of his reported take was earmarked by this anti-earmark organization.

·Congressman Young's out-of-state donors totaled $86,651-roughly 83% of contributions.

·Berkowitz received 305 itemized Alaskan contributions, more than double those reported by Sean Parnell (121) and Don Young (19) combined.
