By Dennis Zaki- President Bush has accepted Press Secretary Tony "Snowjob" Snow's resignation and has named Deputy Press Secretary Dana Perino to take his place.

President Bush has accepted Press Secretary Tony Snow's resignation and has named Deputy Press Secretary Dana Perino to take his place.

"I accept, I love you and I wish you all the best," Bush told reporters, as Snow stood nearby. "Good luck, Godspeed."

"It's been a joy to watch him spar with you. He's smart, he's capable, he's witty. He's able to talk about issues in a way that the American people can understand," the president said.

"I don't know what else he's going to do and I'm not sure he does yet either. But whatever it is it's two things: One, he's going to battle cancer and win, and secondly, he'll be a solid contributor to society."

Snow is returning to FOX "News" in September.
