Lindsay Lohan nude pictures come out in New York magazine

Lindsay Lohan posed nude for a series of pictures for New York magazine inspired by Marilyn Monroe last 1962 photo shoot.

"I was comfortable with it," Lohan said of posing for the pictorial series shot by famed photographer Bert Stern.

LOS ANGELES -- Hollywood starlet Lindsay Lohan channels late screen icon Marilyn Monroe in a new photo spread for New York magazine.

People.com said the sexy photos were inspired by Monroe's last 1962 shoot with famed photographer Bert Stern.

"I was comfortable with it," Lohan said of posing for the pictorial series shot by Stern himself.

In an interview accompanying the spread, the 21-year-old actress admitted she sees a link between Monroe's fatal drug overdose at age 36 and Heath Ledger's recent accidental death, caused by a lethal combination of prescription drugs, at the age of 28.

"They are both prime examples of what this industry can do to someone," Lohan told New York magazine.

However, the actress, who has spent time in rehab to treat her own substance-abuse problems, vowed she won't let her own life and career be cut so short.

"I don't know. I'm not them. But I sure as hell wouldn't let it happen to me," she said.
