Thomas Jane popped for DUI, suspended license

Thomas Jane was caught speeding in his Maserati while driving under the influence with a suspended license on Monday and faces up to a year in jail.

The actor, whose real name is Thomas Elliot, is best known for his roles in "The Mist," "The Punisher" and "Stander."

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (UPI) -- U.S. actor Thomas Jane, who is married to "Medium" star Patricia Arquette, was arrested early Monday for alleged drunken driving, police said.

The actor, whose real name is Thomas Elliot, is best known for his roles in "The Mist," "The Punisher" and "Stander."

TMZ.com said Jane was arrested in Kern County, Calif. shortly before 3 a.m., then charged with driving under the influence and driving with a blood alcohol level above .08 percent.

Authorities said he was also driving with a suspended license.

Police told the celebrity news Web site Jane was pulled over in a late-model Maserati after he allegedly was spotted driving at an extremely high rate of speed.

Jane is to be arraigned April 9, TMZ.com said.
