Barack Obama says John McCain's hidden, closed-door fundraisers with President Bush in Arizona proves McCain would extend Bush's failed policies.

"No cameras, no reporters, and we all know why," Obama said. "Sen. McCain doesn't want to be seen, hat in hand, with the president whose failed policies he promises to continue for another four years. Now the question for the American people is do we want to continue George Bush's policies?"

"And what McCain is offering is four more years of George Bush. He wants to extend the Bush tax cuts," Howard Dean said earlier this month. "Of course, he was opposed to that two years ago."

"On issue after issue, John McCain is offering more of the same policies that have failed for the last eight years. That's the agenda that he and the president are raising money to support later today."

Obama, the freshman U.S. senator from Illinois, spoke about home foreclosures and the mortgage crisis.

"I don't think the American people want to continue the disastrous economic policies that have helped create catastrophes like the housing crisis that we're here to discuss (Tuesday)," Obama said.

McCain offers "more of the same policies that have failed for the past eight years," Obama said. "That's the agenda that he and the president are raising money to support ... ."
