Arizona Cardinals Dump Coach Dennis Green

Phoenix, Arizona - Dennis Green was fired as coach of the hapless Arizona Cardinals on Monday after three years on the job.

The Cardinals finished another dismal season with a 27-20 loss at San Diego.

Green's Cardinals went 5-11 this year.

Green finished with a 16-32 overall record at Arizona.

The Cardinals will still have to pay him $2.5 million to buy out the final year of his contract.

Green's three teams in Arizona went 6-10, 5-11 and 5-11.
