Building Collapses In Central London, England

London, England - A building in England has partially collapsed in the Victoria area of central London.

A building in England has partially collapsed in the Victoria area of central London.

The Queen's Gate Building, currently said to be undergoing renovation work, is located on Dean Farrar Street, close to Scotland Yard.

Police have said that one man is believed to be trapped in the building.

It is understood that the fourth and fifth floors of the building have collapsed.

London Fire Service said more than 50 firefighters attended the scene after they were called shortly after 4 pm.

Apart from the trapped man, the London Ambulance service said one person was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The campaign office of Labour's deputy leadership contender Hazel Blears is located in the building.

She held a meeting with a number of MPs in the building just a few hours before it collapsed.

A spokesman said her staff had been evacuated and none had been hurt in the incident.
